Portrait of Dr. Annie Snow

I’m Dr. Annie Snow.

My pronouns are she/her/hers. I’m a white, queer, 40-something cisgender woman who hails from Kentucky. I live on a farm with my partner, my toddler, and a couple of fur babies. In my free time, I like to play banjo, pole dance, read classic literature, and watch horror movies.

As someone who grew up in the Bible Belt and survived purity culture, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to have a healthy relationship with sex. I spent the first few years of my professional career researching sex, gender, shame, and suicide. My findings were published in Health and Social Work, LGBT Health, the Journal Of Affective Disorders, the Journal of Orthopsychiatry, and Psychiatric Services.

After spending years studying the harmful effects of stigma and shame, I decided to become a certified sexologist. I have the incredible privilege of helping folks understand and embrace their gender and sexuality while experiencing true pleasure and intimacy—often for the first time. If that sounds like something you’d benefit from, I’d love to hear from you!
