Dr. Annie Snow

Certified Sexologist

Maybe you remember Sexually Speaking and the candid advice from Dr. Ruth Westheimer. Or perhaps you’ve seen some old clips of her on TikTok. There’s no way I could ever fill my hero’s shoes, but I do share her enthusiasm for demystifying and de-stigmatizing sex.

I’ve been lucky enough to pioneer new and exciting research in the field of sexology, picking up where folks like Dr. Ruth left off. My findings have been published in LGBT Health, Psychology Today, the Journal of Orthopsychiatry, Good Therapy, Health and Social Work, and Psychiatric Services.

As much as I love research, my real passion is helping folks find answers to their sexual questions, providing a safe, non-judgemental space for authentic conversations to take place. But what I offer is more than just talk therapy. I provide real, practical solutions to your most personal challenges.

As a queer, kinky, cisgender woman who grew up in the Bible Belt, it is my absolute privilege to work with folks who are wrestling with shame or find themselves targets of bigotry and discrimination. I offer a celebratory space for LGBTQIA+ folks, and as a certified kink-affirming provider, I love working with individuals who find themselves defying vanilla expectations. You’re my kinda people.

What former clients want you to know:

"In past experiences with counseling, I felt like I talked about my feelings a lot and never got to dig deep...this experience was much different and I found it to be very helpful."

"I was very comfortable with Dr. Snow and I found it easy to talk about everything I was feeling. Just the thought that I knew I had time during the week to speak with Dr. Snow was helpful. She is a great listener. I told her things I haven't spoken to with anyone. I knew she wouldn't judge me and I felt really safe with her."

“Annie is my guardian angel. I’m not religious anymore so that seems weird to say lol. But she was there for me when I didn’t really have anyone else I could trust. I’m on the spectrum and it’s hard for me to find a therapist who actually understands and can work with me. I wish there were more therapists like her.”
